Sandhi Institute is a Not for Profit Educational Organization, registered under the Companies Act of Sri Lanka. We are all volunteers working for the joy of contribution. Occassionaly we hire short term support people such as translators, logistics coordinator, etc., The team and Board are all volunteers and we all have other work which we do for our livelihood.

Financial Contribution:

Sandhi Institute running costs are covered by workshop fees and individuals who donate money to contribute to this work. We have been honored with small project specific grants such as: Neelan Tiruchelvam Trust (Jan 2011, to conduct a TOT for trainers working in schools), Canadian CIDA (Dec 2010 for "contexualizing NVC for Sri Lankan Cultures and languages" conference), Cordaid, Netherlands (Oct. 2008 for visioning and capacity building training).

Your willingness to support us can make a significant contribution to this Island and her people throughout the world.

  • We have a commitment to turn no one away for lack of money if they want to attend workshops & practice groups we offer
  • By offering a percentage of our training at substantially lower cost than the commercial value (to people and groups with much commitment and passion to contribute), We make it possible for NVC training to reach people who want to contribute to positive change in society even if they lack financial resources.
  • We increase our impact by working with national organizations such as Sewalanka, and Universities such as Ruhuna and Moratuwa, we reach many people indirectly through them. The power of NVC reaches into and transforms how the work gets done, and support those who want to live compassionately.
