From the Tokoyo Airport on way back to LankaI am on my way back to Colombo after a long visit to the US where I first joined the training team for the Living Peace retreat with Miki Kashtan and others from BayNVC. It was a great experince, even though I was predictably jet lagged! After that I went to visit with family in the east coast for a while and then came back to California to meet more people, including one of my favorite people on the planet - Joanna Macy - who had just come back from a trip to London. I was so touched that she invited me to have dinner with her and her husband Fran even though she was sick from something she caught on the plane. We had a long chat and inspired each other. She gave me a copy of her latest book which I am looking forward to reading and I am touched to tears at how she addressed me in the note she wrote for me in it "To my dear sister warrior for peace" (ah, that does my heart some wonderful good). I am now heading back to Lanka loaded up with more books for Sandhi office and library as well as more energy to bring to the work.
